Live Blackjack developed by Vivo Gaming is a seven-seat multiplayer blackjack streamed in real time and run by professional dealers. The reviewed game is relatively simple, without any side bets so players can enjoy the pure blackjack action and realistic casino experience.

Video quality

The table and dealer are captured by a camera positioned in front of the dealer, and players cannot toggle between views while playing. The developer offers what it calls a 2D and 3D views of the table; in fact, both show the table from the same fixed position but the 3D mode gives a broader view on the table and the 2D mode displays the table in a smaller window. In the ‘2D’ mode, the video has a low resolution, yet looks OK. As soon as you switch to a full-screen mode or a ‘3D’ view, the video quality will become worse. Surprisingly, the Vivo Gaming blackjack does not offer any options to alter quality of the video stream.

Blackjack rules

The game has a link to the house rules that open in a pop-up window; however; these rules display only general information about blackjack as a game and fail to give specific rules for the table you are playing. For example, the rules read that blackjack may be played with one to eight decks; this is clear but no information is given on how the dealer acts in this particular blackjack game. Anyway, the basic rules applied in Vivo Gaming’s Live Blackjack are:

  • blackjack pays 3:2
  • dealer stands on all 17s
  • insurance is offered against dealer’s ace and pays 2:1
  • doubling down and splitting are allowed, yet no specific details are provided as for how many times a player may split each hand, etc.

Live blackjack features

All settings and user-adjustable options are packaged in a neat and small toolbar at the top of the screen. Alongside a chat box for sending messages to the dealer, the game has the Report Issue feature that enables a player to make a screenshot automatically and report a gaming issue to a support team. This blackjack game has no Bet Behind feature, so players have to wait for a vacant seat if all places are busy. Audio options are volume control and sound muting/unmuting. Under the Settings button players can also manage sound options and tick/untick the Auto Confirm Bet option.

This live blackjack is fun to play, yet it is not rich in features and lacks house rules. Anyway, you will hardly ever get bored with lovely dealers and fast-paced action in Live Blackjack released by Vivo Gaming.
