Blackjack live Table Game by xpg Review
The seven-seat Live Blackjack by XProGaming is very easy to play on both PC and Android-based devices. There are very few settings in there and nothing about the game rules, but this has a flip side too. Due to its simplicity, the game has good performance and is a real joy to play.
User interface and features
The game has two information windows. One of them shows brief info about the current session: round ID, dealer name, etc., and is always visible on the screen. This window also features a chat box that opens in the Chat tab. Sending messages via chat is allowed to registered users only.
The second information window displays table limits, and this window can be hidden from view. What is interesting is that the Bet Behind limits are a fraction of a regular bet, while blackjack variants of other developers tend to offer the same maximum and minimum limits on both regular and Bet Behind wagers. Clicking the Last Results tab in this window will show the results of the most recent round.
The table is captured by a single camera positioned in front of and a little above the dealer. Players may enlarge the video feed box, shrink it to a smaller size or switch to a full-screen mode. There is a technical issue about the full-screen mode that makes itself evident on some devices and screen resolutions; that is that the screen stretches disproportionately vertically.
The video stream is of good quality, and players have two quality options (High and Low) available in a dropdown menu inside the video feed box. Audio options are volume control and muting. Other gaming options include dealer tipping and Bet Behind feature; the latter allows a player to place chips on other player’s hand, sharing the outcome of that player.
No house rules are provided in the game so players have to learn them by experience. In fact, no exotic rule variations are applied in this blackjack, therefore it will not be a problem to understand quickly whether, for example, it is allowed to resplit aces or not. Anyway, the most basic rules are:
- dealer stands on all 17’s
- blackjack pays 3 to 2
- players are offered insurance against the dealer’s ace (insurance pays 2 to 1). Players with blackjack are offered Even Money against the dealer’s ace.
